The following aviation videos were shot by my wife and I while flying to some of our favorite Southern California destinations. Most of the videos were shot from my Bellanca however some were shot from other planes where I was a passenger. We hope you enjoy these general aviation videos almost as much as we enjoyed the flights. Many people have asked me to post videos in Windows format so they don't have to load Real Player. Starting in 2008 I'll upload both formats but the WMV files are about 60% larger.

June 1, 2008 - Will and I take the
Stearman up to the falls then ride down the mountain like we were on
a sled. All of this was shot within 10 minutes of Santa Paula
Airport

May 24, 2008 - A video I shot going to and
at an EAA fly-in and BBQ hosted by the Agua Dulce Skypark Ranch.
May 12, 2008 - A video of landing at San
Jose Airport for a three day stay. I did have a Howard Dean
moment watching a Lear jet get closer and closer to me.

February 16, 2008 - This flight was shot
on November 11th but seemed to be misplaced. Video of a flight
from Corona to Mariposa Yosemite Airport.
February 8, 2008 - A VFR flight to
Bakersfield Meadows airport. Captured some ATC in this video to
satisfy those who wrote me about after the January 26th flight where
I used a music track.

Fox Field. 2007 December 29, 2007 - Who says an uncontrolled airport can't handle more than one operation a minute? Corona at it's best! December 3, 2007 - A short video of landing and departing Calexico. Pretty simple but at the end there is a strange call on guard. What's the last thing a pilot hears before the F-15's shoot him down? This video may answer that question. November 30, 2007 - Is this flight really necessary? My annual expires at midnight and the weather forecasters really missed the mark. A flight in IMC to Santa Paula. One small issue, Santa Paula doesn't have an instrument approach.
November 11, 2007 - A VFR flight into Mojave Air and Spaceport. We were given permission to fly though the Edwards AFB restricted airspace. September 22, 2007 - A video of us landing at the Borrego Valley Airport. September 8, 2007 - A flight from Corona to Half Moon Bay, a GPS approach was necessary to get down though the overcast. July 22, 2007 - A quick flight from Mammoth to Bishop. July 22, 2007 - A video of the high country on the way to Mammoth for Breakfast. The prop is leaking red dye and you'll see that when we turn into the sun. 36MB July 6, 2007 - A Video of my propeller being balanced. For some reason this is one of the most misunderstood and neglected parts of aircraft maintenance. Our routing took us over the Grand Canyon. Really more of a audio recording than video but the camera had to point at something. At 10:00am Marc and I head east though the Banning Pass as the part 141 carriers arrive from the east. February 14, 2007 - A trip to Chandler AZ picking up an IFR clearance enroute. Didn't know it but the audio plug fell out before arriving at Chandler Airport. 27 MB February 3, 2007 - Sunrise Over the Desert! A early morning flight to Coolidge AZ for breakfast with some friends. I thought I had enough background lighting for the before daylight takeoff, sorry. Coolidge was a madhouse and I edited a lot out of the arrival end. 32MB January 21, 2007 - A trip on a very windy day to the Rosamond Skypark for Sunday Brunch at the Golden Cantina. 14MB January 14, 2007 - A short video of landing on runway 24 at Flabob airport in Riverside, California. 6MB January 7, 2007 - It was just two windy to 'pleasure fly' today so we shot video from my hanger. It sure was fun watching and I saved a lot of fuel! 11 MB 2006 December 25, 2006 - A Christmas Day flight to the in-laws. We landed at the Camarillo Airport (KCMA). The video camera was having issues but I did get some good video of Joe departing. 10 MB October 8, 2006 - Andrew Harrod and I fly to Paso Robles CA to attend a un-official AOPA west coast fly-in. We flew up in a 2006 Cessna 182, N2019V because the Super Viking is still in for it's annual inspection. 58 MB September 17, 2006 - A lot of people write me wanting to hear ATC. Here it is! I dropped my plane off in Santa Paula for an annual today and shot video on the way over. This was only posted to answer a news group question. August 8, 2006 - We take a day trip to Morro Bay California landing at San Luis Obispo and getting a rental car. June 24, 2006 - This video was taken on the ground at Plainview. Filmed at Miller's before and after the canyon run. All who attended should find a shot of their plane! 35MB June 24, 2006 - Canyon run near Plainview Texas. This video is raw. A little boring if you weren't there but the music is fun. Very little editing except for some of the cuss words. The camera makes items look a lot farther away than they are. Big surprise towards end of video. Huge file, 54 MB. June 9, 2006 - Andrew Harrod and I make a breakfast run from Fullerton to Big Bear City Airport in a Cessna 182, N2019V. Most of this was shot in IMC conditions. May 20, 2006 - My wife and I attended the Super Viking fly in held at Harris Ranch in Coalinga California. I was at the fuel pump and grabbed my camera when I saw 'Rose' on downwind. Rose is based at Corona but currently repainted (stick on labels) and on tour for Turner Classic Movies. 1.5 MB April 27, 2006 - This is the first time the camera was in the plane. I was flying my Bellanca Super Viking from Big Bear to Corona. The weather was MVFR with and overcast layer at 1500. In this video you will see a GPS circle to land approach. When I break out you will see Corona on the nose. 7 MB
