There are way too many things for the GA pilot to do in San Diego to get them all on one list. I've used all the airports but like San Diego International the best. To me it's worth the $25 landing fee for the convenience of landing right in downtown. Walk out the front door of landmark and the trolley stop is less than a 1/4 mile away. A day pass is just $5 and with that you have several destinations to choose from.

Old Town is a fun place to visit. Lots of shopping and many good places to eat. The Gas Light District has several Restaurants and clubs. The water front where you find The Midway Aircraft Carrier, a floating museum, even a Russian Sub.

You could land in San Diego many times and there would still be more to see.
